Terms & Conditions
Effective 22 July 2026
These terms apply to the J-Guard website and to every service booked through it, by phone, or through our branches. Booking a service, or asking us to quote for one, means you accept them.
1. Who you are contracting with
In India, services are provided by J-Guard Services Pvt. Ltd., registered office 2/452A Eroor Road, Kappattikavu, Thrippunithura, Ernakulam, Kerala 682306. We have operated since 2017 and are recognised by DPIIT.
Where a service is delivered by one of our branches or platform members, J-Guard Services Pvt. Ltd. remains your point of contact and remains responsible to you for the standard of that work.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "J-Guard" mean that company. "You" means the person or business booking the service.
2. Booking is a request, not a confirmation
Selecting services on our website and verifying your number sends us a service request. It does not create a booking, reserve a crew, or fix a price.
What happens next: we call you — normally the same working day, between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm — to understand the job, confirm we cover your area, and give you a price. A booking exists only once we have confirmed the date, the scope, and the price with you, and you have accepted.
We may decline a request. Common reasons are that the address falls outside a branch's service area, the job needs equipment or clearances we don't hold, or the site is unsafe to work in.
3. Prices and estimates
Any price shown on the website is an estimate for a typical job of that description. It is not a quotation and we are not bound by it.
Final pricing depends on what we find: the actual area, the condition of the surfaces or the level of infestation, access and parking, water and power availability, height, and how much clearing or moving is needed before we can start. Where a service is marked "custom quote", we cannot price it without seeing the site or discussing it with you.
We will tell you the final price before any work begins. If the job turns out to be materially larger than described once our crew arrives, we will stop, explain the difference, and get your agreement before continuing. We will never add a charge you have not agreed to.
Prices are exclusive of GST unless we state otherwise. GST is charged at the applicable rate.
4. Payment
We do not take payment through this website. Payment is due on completion of the work, by the method agreed when you booked, unless we have agreed different terms with you in writing — for example, on a commercial contract with scheduled invoicing.
For contract and recurring commercial work, invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. We may suspend service on overdue accounts after giving you notice.
5. What we need from you
So the crew can work safely and finish in one visit, you agree to:
- give us accurate information about the property, the job, and anything unusual about the site when you book;
- provide access at the agreed time, plus water and electricity where the service needs them;
- secure or remove cash, jewellery, documents, and valuables before the crew arrives;
- tell us in advance about anything fragile, antique, custom-finished, or of high sentimental value that will be in the work area;
- tell us about pets, infants, elderly or ill residents, aquariums, and anyone with respiratory conditions or known chemical allergies — this matters most for pest control;
- keep children and pets clear of the work area while the crew is on site.
If our crew arrives and cannot start because access wasn't available or the site wasn't ready, we may charge a visit fee to cover the trip.
6. Cleaning services — what to expect
Cleaning restores a surface as far as its condition allows. It does not repair it.
We cannot guarantee the removal of every stain or mark. Set stains, water and hard-water marks, rust, mould that has penetrated the material, sun-bleaching, pet urine that has reached the foam or the sub-floor, paint, adhesive residue, and damage already present in a fabric or a surface may not come out, and in some cases nothing will remove them without damaging the material. Where we can see in advance that a result is unlikely, we will tell you before we start rather than after.
Older, worn, or already-damaged materials can be affected by cleaning even when the correct method is used — loose tiles may lift, weak grout may wash out, aged upholstery seams may give, and veneer or laminate that has already absorbed moisture may swell. Where we identify this risk, we will point it out and proceed only with your agreement, and in that case at your risk.
Drying times vary with humidity and ventilation. Upholstery and carpets typically need 6–12 hours; allow longer in the monsoon.
7. Pest control services — what to expect
Pest control manages an infestation. No treatment eliminates the possibility of pests returning, and any claim otherwise would be untrue.
- More than one visit is often needed. Cockroach, bedbug, and termite work usually requires a course of treatments at set intervals. Skipping a scheduled follow-up will compromise the result, and we cannot honour a warranty where follow-ups were missed.
- Warranty periods, where offered, are stated in your quotation and confirmed on your invoice. They cover re-treatment of the same pest at the same premises within the stated period. They do not cover a new infestation introduced from outside — through second-hand furniture, neighbouring units, deliveries, or shared walls and drains in an apartment building.
- Re-entry and ventilation. You must follow the re-entry time and ventilation instructions the crew gives you. These exist for your safety and are not advisory.
- Preparation matters. Food, utensils, and pet feed must be covered or removed. Aquariums must be covered and their pumps switched off for the period we specify. Fish, birds, and reptiles are particularly sensitive to insecticides.
- Chemicals. We use products approved for their purpose and apply them at label rates. Tell us before we start if anyone at the property is pregnant, has a respiratory condition, or has a known chemical sensitivity, so we can select an appropriate treatment or advise you to stay elsewhere during the re-entry period.
- Termite treatment may require drilling of floors and walls at specified intervals. We will explain where before we begin. Drilled points are sealed, but the finish will not be invisible.
8. AC service and repair — what to expect
Our service covers cleaning, servicing, and diagnosis. We will tell you what we find.
Where a unit has a pre-existing fault, is beyond its service life, or has been previously repaired in a way that affects our work, servicing may reveal or worsen that fault — a compressor that fails on restart after a long-standing leak is the common example. This is not damage caused by our service, and we cannot accept responsibility for it. Where we can see the risk in advance, we will tell you before we touch the unit.
Gas top-up, spare parts, and replacement components are quoted separately and are not included in a service charge.
9. Rescheduling and cancellation
You can reschedule or cancel at no charge by telling us at least 48 hours before the agreed slot. Call or WhatsApp the branch number you booked through.
Cancelling with less than 48 hours' notice, or not being reachable and not providing access when the crew arrives, may attract a visit fee covering the crew's travel and the lost slot. We will always tell you the amount before charging it.
We may reschedule your slot if a crew is delayed on an earlier job, if there is a safety issue at your site, or for reasons outside our control. We will contact you as early as we can and offer the next available slot. We do not charge you for a reschedule we cause.
10. If something isn't right
Tell us within 24 hours of the work being completed and we will come back and put it right at no charge, provided the issue is with work covered by your booking.
This is how we would rather resolve things than by argument about liability. Call the branch, or email enquiry@j-guard.com with your booking details and photographs if you have them.
Report any damage you believe our crew caused within 24 hours, before the area is used, cleaned again, or repaired by someone else — after that we cannot fairly establish what happened.
11. Our responsibility, and its limits
We are responsible for loss or damage that our crew actually causes by failing to take reasonable care.
We are not responsible for:
- pre-existing damage, wear, or defects, including ones only visible once an area has been cleaned;
- the outcomes described in sections 6, 7 and 8 that are inherent to the service rather than a failure of care;
- items you were asked to secure or disclose and did not;
- loss you suffer indirectly — lost income, lost business, or the cost of alternative arrangements;
- delay or non-performance caused by something outside our reasonable control (section 13).
Except where the law does not allow us to limit it, our total liability for any one booking is capped at the amount you paid for that booking, or ₹25,000, whichever is higher.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 are unaffected by anything in this document.
12. Our people
Our crews are trained, uniformed, and carry identification. Ask to see it.
Please do not offer our staff work directly, cash payments outside the invoice, or tips. If you have a concern about a crew member's conduct, tell the supervisor on site, call the branch or email enquiry@j-guard.com — we will take it seriously and we will tell you what we did about it.
13. Things outside our control
We are not liable for failing to perform where the cause is beyond our reasonable control: flood, storm, or monsoon conditions that make work unsafe; power or water failure at the site; strikes or civil disruption; government restrictions; or an accident to the crew en route. We will reschedule at no cost to you.
14. Photographs
We photograph work in progress and completed jobs for quality records and training. We may use these publicly — on this website, on social media, or in marketing — only where the property is not identifiable and no person appears, or where you have given us permission.
Tell the crew, or email us, if you would prefer no photographs at all, and we will note it against your address.
15. Using this website
You may use this site to learn about and book our services. Please don't attempt to break into it, scrape it at volume, submit false booking requests, or use it in a way that interferes with other people using it.
The J-Guard name, logo, and the content of this site are ours. Please don't reproduce them without asking.
We keep the site accurate and current as best we can, but service coverage, pricing, and availability change. Nothing on the site is a guarantee that a particular service is available at a particular address on a particular date.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published here when you make a booking is the version that applies to that booking. The effective date at the top tells you when this version took effect.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Ernakulam, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Before going to court, please raise the matter with us — most things are resolved by a phone call to the branch manager.
